Madison has had motion sickness since the day she was born. Of course, it took us countless trips complete with vomiting for the first 3 years of her life to figure this out. No movie watching. No reading. No coloring. No counting red cars. Just sitting, and even then, there would always be an "incident". I became quite the expert at disassembling her car seat so that it could be washed and always kept a supply of carpet cleaner on hand. I know... way too much info... but you have to understand the extent of the motion sickness to really appreciate what I am about to tell you.
I began using chewable motion sickness tablets by cutting them in half and then grinding them up and hiding the powder in apple juice or peanut butter (they really taste quite terrible). This worked about 60% of the time, leaving me somewhat satisfied but looking for a better option. Then, just a few weeks ago, a lady at church told me about Sea-Bands. I have to say I was a bit sceptical, but ordered them out of desperation as we were preparing for a 12 hour car trip. The results? Not only did my child go the entire trip without getting sick, she actually ate snacks and meals!!!! And she colored!!!!!!!! People, I am in love with Sea-Bands! I will happily endorse them and give the company free advertising because their product actually works! If you have children with motion sickness, you absolutely, without a doubt, should buy this product. And, just so you know, they make them for adults, as well.
OK, enough product endorsement, back to blogging....
