The girls loved to feed the ducks and had a great time wading in the water.
How gorgeous is this?!
Below is the view from our room... why don't we have a view like this at home?
The girls, like all children, could have played in the pool the entire time and been completely happy. Below is a picture of "Goggle Girl"....
Above you see Madison, the First Mate of our paddle boat. And our trip on the lake wouldn't have been the same without Captain Mike. Below is the Deck Hand, Ella. I was the photographer.... the reason I am never in any pictures.
And last, but not least, was roasting marshmallows over the open fire. It is very important to end a day by the lake with roasted marshmallows (and a few mosquito bites....)!

Couldn't you have tucked me away in your suitcase?! ;) Looks like an awesome time. So glad you all enjoyed it.
Ah, I feel so relaxed just looking at those pictures! How great for you guys to get away! If I wasn't the mother of "monster child" I'd do something like that, but, I'm sure Evie would have found a way to accidentally fall into the lake from the boat or maybe eat some strange plant thus requiring a trip to the emergency room. Hey, wait a minute, Ella didn't do those things!!!???
Looks so peaceful, Connie! Seeing what you guys are up to almost makes it seem as though you never left.
The Goggle Girl picture was my favorite. Make sure Ella brings her goggles to Georgia so we can get a "Goggle Girl" picture v.2! ; } Love you guys!
