Every student in Madison's class had the opportunity to write and illustrate their own story and then present them in a special reading to the parents. Most of the stories were fictional and funny, but Madison's was more serious and straight forward. She did a wonderful job and I absolutely love her cat illustration! I should have captured the moment on video, but still photos will have to do. I think she's trying to tell me something.... see what you think. Her story is below.

My Favorite Animal

My favorite animal is a cat. A cat has whiskers. A cat also has a tail. Cats can be orange, black, gray, white, and tan. Cats are mammals. Cats are warm-blooded. I like cats a lot. Cats are the best. I wish I could have a pet cat. I like cats!
